Stories

National Carers Rights Day

LINkrotherham were involved in arranging the Rotherham event of National Carers Rights Day which was held in the John Smith Room at Rotherham Town Hall on Friday 4th December.

The aims of the day were to:-

  • Give carers information around financial support
  • Make sure carers know their rights
  • Guide carers towards practical support
  • Raise awareness of the needs of carers.

Various agencies and organisations attended the event including Welfare Rights, Jobcentre Plus, Crossroads and Barnardos.  These organisations provided benefits and pensions advice, information to help carers return to work, support for carers and advice on health and well being.
