Voluntary Action Rotherham’s next voluntary and community sector meeting is with Cllr Ken Wyatt, the Chair of the new Health and Wellbeing Board. This is the sectors’ opportunity to hear about how the board is developing, the role of the board and how the sector can get involved in decision making.

Rotherham Access Group is a group of disabled people who live in Rotherham.
The group is currently interested in creating a Rotherham Access Guide, that lists level of accessibility of various public buildings/premises and areas in Rotherham, as well as that of services available to disabled people.

Dard-e-dil – “Pain in Heart” - New DVD which can save lives
A new life-saving DVD to help South Asian people to get the urgent help they need if they get chest pains has been produced. It is available in Urdu (with English subtitles) and stresses the importance of ringing 999 immediately when experiencing symptoms of a heart attack.

LINkrotherham is seeking new members to its Governing Board, to help oversee the ongoing transition into Local HealthWatch and uphold improvements in local health and social care standards.
