Launch of Macmillan health and wellbeing events for women surviving female cancers
Women in Rotherham recovering from breast or gynaecological cancer now have access to a unique series of events which will provide access to clinical nurse specialists and information and advice on benefits, financial support, diet and lifestyle and getting back to work. They will also be able to take advantage of a new buddying system offering emotional support on a one-to-one basis.

Fat Women in the dark!!
Carers 4 Carers is a Rotherham support group run by carers for carers of loved ones who have severe enduring mental health problems like schizophrenia and bi-polar conditions who care 24 hours a day.
To try and maintain their health and offer carers some respite Carers 4 Carers have recently been awarded a sum of money by NHS Rotherham to enable them to introduce female carers to swimming and aqua aerobics.

From April 2010 new essential standards of quality and safety are being introduced gradually across all health and adult social care services in England. The Care Quality Commission (CQC), the new independent regulator of health and adult social care, will license services if they meet essential standards and constantly monitor them to make sure they are compliant with new legislation about to be passed in parliament.

Co-operative Help Project

We are a small group of over 50’s people, living in Sheffield and Rotherham, who have decided to take matters into our own hands by forming a co-operative.

South Yorkshire Centre for Inclusive Living is a user led organisation providing a range of services for Disabled people. Our current services include IT training, Occupational Therapy and alternative IT equipment assessments, Independent Living Advice, Advocacy, and Information. We are based in Doncaster, but have a remit to cover the whole of South Yorkshire and since May 2009 have been working in Rotherham.
