Heart Care - Study into patient's opinions on two important hospital procedures
This study asks people with circulatory problems, a heart condition or a possible heart condition, for their opinions on two common but important hospital procedures that doctors use in the treatment of heart problems — angiogram and angioplasty [for an explanation of the meaning of the two terms, see the bottom of this page]. People giving their opinions to the study will be totally anonymous.

At the moment, people have to choose a GP practice that’s close to them and make sure they live within its catchment area. But the Government is looking at options to change this, so people can choose a GP practice that best suits their needs.

Rotherham patients and families to benefit from new essential standard of care
From April 2010 new essential standards of quality and safety are being introduced gradually across all health and adult social care services in England. The Care Quality Commission (CQC), the new independent regulator of health and adult social care, will license services if they meet essential standards and constantly monitor them to make sure they are compliant with new legislation about to be passed in parliament.

Co-operative Help Project
WE ARE NOT GOING TO WAIT, WE ARE GOING TO HELP OURSELVES!
There are lots of scare stories in the press about elderly people being isolated and having access to poor, impersonal care and support services.
We are a small group of over 50’s people, living in Sheffield and Rotherham, who have decided to take matters into our own hands by forming a co-operative.

South Yorkshire Centre for Inclusive Living is a user led organisation providing a range of services for Disabled people. Our current services include IT training, Occupational Therapy and alternative IT equipment assessments, Independent Living Advice, Advocacy, and Information. We are based in Doncaster, but have a remit to cover the whole of South Yorkshire and since May 2009 have been working in Rotherham.
