Meet the Governing Board
Anna Chester
As a qualified Social Worker, Anna has been involved in various aspects of social and health care for many years. She has experience of the registration and inspection of residential care and nursing homes and is a Public Governor of the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. Anna believes passionately that “everyone who is a user of health and / or social care has the right to receive the best possible quality and experience of care.”
Jo Ritson
Jo is Training and Volunteer Co-ordinator for the South Yorkshire Centre for Inclusive Living (SYCIL). Having worked in health / social care and community regeneration for many years, Jo spent nine years as Mental Health Adviser at Citizens Advice Bureau. “My keenest interest is that disabled people have full access and choice in the medical and social care areas which affect them”, said Jo.
Diana Swanson
Diana is the Chair of LINkrotherham. After becoming a carer for 3 people in a short space of time Diana needed to know about services available and from this she developed an interest in Health and Social Care. Over the last few years Diana has become involved in various groups and forums. "I believe in trying to make a difference to the people of Rotherham" stated Diana.
Robert Copley
Robert brings wide ranging public servant experience to the LINkrotherham governor’s board. A member of Rotherham Carers Forum, and representing service users in intermediate care with Rotherham NHS Hospital Trust, Robert also devotes his time as a member of the Salvation Army and as a Trustee of the RAIN Building.
Anita Wilson
A former member of the Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) programme for the Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber (RDASH) NHS Trust, Anita developed her concerns about health and social care issues as a carer herself. Anita says, “It is very close to my heart that the people of Rotherham have a voice – and that it is heard - in the future shape of services in the town.”
Glyn Butcher
A carer of two people, Glyn is Chair of the User Carer Partnership Council for Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber (RDASH) NHS Trust. He has very straightforward reasons for volunteering as a LINkrotherham Governor. “I joined because I was disillusioned about what was happening in social care and I believed that LINkrotherham could make a difference. I hope to use my role to promote effective change by working directly with service providers.”
Pat Draycott
A Governor of Rotherham Hospital, and former participant in the NHS’s Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) programme Pat brings personal experience as a long-term carer of her husband to her governor role with LINkrotherham.
