About LINkrotherham

LINkrotherham was launched on 23rd October 2008 and is a completely independent way for the people of Rotherham to express their opinions on local health and social services and influence how these services are delivered.

LINkrotherham is a network of local people, organisations and community groups.

The job of a LINk is to find out what people like and dislike about local services and to work with the people who plan and run them to help make them better.

Big Care Debate

Do you care about the Big Care Debate?

As a nation we are living longer, healthier lives.

This is great news of course but raises serious questions about how we properly care for ever greater numbers of elderly and infirm citizens.

This is an issue which will personally affect the majority of families at some stage as well as having implications for how our taxes are spent.

The government has set up a national debate about the future vision for its ‘National Care Service’ and Rotherham people are being encouraged to have their say.

You can find out more about the issues – and make your own views known by filling in an on line questionnaire - by going to www.careandsupport.direct.gov.uk
